    Q: Featured Designers
How can I be one of your Designers? Do I need formal training?

A: If you are a crafty person and would like to be a part of GingerKnits.com, please drop us a line at info@gingerknits.com - include some pictures of your work as attachments.

If we like your work, we'll ask for you to send a sample so we can have a closer look - don't worry, you will get anything you send back again, we just need to ensure the integrity of your product.

You don't need formal training in fashion, textiles or design, just products with impeccable quality. If you think you fit this profile, we look forward to hearing from you!

    Q: Pierre The Yarn Snob
Why are you no longer 'Pierre the Yarn Snob'? What is 'Pierre the Yarn Snob'?

A: 'Pierre the Yarn Snob' is the name of my personal blog - and the name I previously used for my online presence and sales.

My personal blog was named after my cheeky Papillon puppy, Pierre, who thinks that any expensive yarn with animal (protein) based fibre is a toy for him to 'hunt' - the cheap yarns of man-made fibres hold no appeal for him.

When I set up this store I wanted a domain name that was short and catchy - something easy to spell that would stick in peoples minds. Also, this store includes more than just my own work - I was looking for something new that would not only be associated with me, but could incorporate a group of crafty designers. With GingerKnits.com I am not only referring to my own preferred craft, but also to the community of skilled craftspeople I am 'knitting' together.

For those interested, I am still blogging at http://PierreTheYarnSnob.blogspot.com - and despite nearly 18 months of dedicated training, Pierre still occasionally tries to 'hunt' my expensive yarns!
